WHAT: First public showing of the “Surfing Madonna” collaboration

For the first time publicly, Mark Patterson (the artist of the Surfing Madonna) and Carlsbad artist Bryan Snyder will be showing their recently finished painting and mosaic collaboration.

Snyder painted a 5ft. x 4ft. canvas in his signature “drip” technique and Patterson created a detailed mosaic with leftover pieces from the original “Surfing Madonna” mosaic around the edges of the canvas.

Starting Sunday, the painting will be available for purchase through auction. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Patterson to help pay for the fees and fines incurred from the installation, and the removal, of his original mosaic masterpiece.

Limited Edition signed, dated and numbered photos will be available Sunday.
