Signs of Battle

Ideas run wild during times of political elections. Whether local or national, dramatic commercials pulsate in our living rooms and brightly painted signs clutter our sidewalks.  Coffee shops chatter with ill-read accusations and the internet streams media driven parodies. Our streets become a political battlefield where a persuasion is an kill and a lost vote is a casualty.

Where have you seen political expression? Anything creative?

I have always thought that bumper stickers in general are an underrated political media. I have been swayed myself by some. I think if it’s not contoversial, it isn’t doing its job. One of my favorites is “When Jesus said to love thy enemy, I don’t think he meant kill them.” In a way, we save ourselves from hours of arguing and boil our main point into one small sentence.
