The sun shined strong and the blue sky was as empty as a Summertime school yard. Village restaurants animated with lunch time rushes and the last hours of a long work week slowly ticked to the tune of the approaching weekend.
As most were packing their things and day dreaming of sinking their toes in warm beach sand, others were put to work. After meeting at the Farmer’s Market parking lot on Friday, March 12, four groups of flower and shovel yielding locals set out to add some Springtime color to the flowerless planters of our village streets.
Participating business invited an early taste of Spring while patrons overlooked with wide smiles and admiration. Patio diners of Caldo Pomodoro eagerly watched as a sidewalk planter came to life with dark pinks. Senior Grubby’s, Salon 150, Le Passage French Bistro, Giacoletti Music and other local businesses also invited this village beautification.
Thanks to the Carlsbad Village Association for always looking for ways to make our village a better place!
Christie, that was such a great idea. Looks like a fun time.
Way to go! Adding flowers is always a great idea. Love the effort and beautification! nadia
