The Carlsbad Village might not have the artistic attraction of the Cardiff Kook and our sleepy streets were never gifted a giant mosaic of the Surfing Madonna, but we do have an ongoing installation on the North side of the village that has been quietly attracting attention for many years.
They are motionless and quiet, yet they attract the eyes of every passing car and pedestrian on the highly busy Jefferson Street near Las Flores. You pick the holiday and these mannequins will serve up a creative, and often riskee, outfit.
Not all are excited about the installations, but to date, the mannequins have not to be hassled with.
