Glad you made it out on what turned out to be one very cold rainy wind whaling stormy night! In fact, in s moment of rare silence I could hear the rain drops hitting our metal roof. But the Traditional Irish Folk music played by Matt Hensley $ David Lally, then them backing up Brittany McGregor, an amazing IG singer based in LA, but born and raised in Carlsbad/Vista. This was a truly hometown event with legends up front.
It was truly a rare and likely once in s lifetime event. We’ll have more like it. Maybe even some of the same musicians. But the hustle of Matt learning the French tunes while on tour in Europe with Floggying Molly and only on a short 1 week break…still took the time to come out and “Support our Crime” as he likes to say in reference to supporting our cause & nonprofit project.
There will be other once in a lifetime events to come at Lhooq Books. But this one was definitely one for the history books. And I might say. My personal favorite so far! ???????
