    Egg #: 40

I had discovered this egg while walking from the beach on a hot Easter Sunday afternoon, i had chose to walk to Spin Records to purchase a few CDs, after a short walk up the street i had passed the O’Sullivans Irish Pub but when I came up to the stopsign a few paces eastbound i saw this egg kneeled up on the crossbar of the stopsign and reached up to get it, the only downfall is that i am 14 and it took me a while to reach it, the first thing i noticed was the large number of eyes on it, 18 i counted also it was partly encrusted in blue sparkly glue which also held pink artificial flower petals to the egg, upon opening the egg there were 17 small googly eyes within it so i opened it at home so they didnt fly everywhere.

#12– The puzzle piece by itself found on the sidewalk on Jefferson St near Mission Federal Credit Union. An empty egg with a large single eye inside a yellow flower with a green feather glued to the outside was found approximately 10 yards North of the lonley piece on Jefferson. A Carlsbadcrawl sticker was found a few feet from the empty egg.

#44– Found on State Street in the planter below the window of the Magic Bug Shop near the Carlsbad Theater. Mostly Orange and Red swirled egg with some blue plastic showing.

#49– Found in the planter on Grand Ave. just East of O’Sullivan’s Pub (Tim Goblin’s). Green plastic watery egg, with red marker lines and thick blue marker. Red marker swirl found on the thick side of the egg.

Hey Bro!! I haven’t found any eggs yet, but it sounds like you have started a new Carlsbad tradition for years to come.

9:08 PM #11 Lefthanded rockstar egg found on brick planter in front of Spin Records.

9:13 PM #1 Rockin the ‘stach egg with Penny eyes and a very much receeded hairline wedged between the limbs of a tree across the parking lot of 7-11.

9:15 PM #36 7 Legged Arthropod eyeball egg sitting on porch of the old RW Surf Shop near 7-11.

9:21 PM #52 Clue stated paperbacks so we went to the paperback exchange but missed the egg on the first glance. We were leaving after giving up and spotted the Cloudy blue “S” egg sitting on a chain link fence post.

    Thanks Carlsbadcrawl, it was fun!

While taking my daily walk I noticed a blue egg with sparkly ribbon and gems glued to it sitting on the branch of a small bush or tree on Jefferson street. I kept walking because I didn’t know why it was there until I saw the flyer on a light pole down in the village. So after I read the flyer I was hoping that the egg would still be there when I got back and guess what it was there so I picked it up and brought it home to see what was inside and now I am registering it. #60

#23 was the last egg I found outside the Vinaka shopping center near the main sign. I went in to the villiage early to pick up breakfast for a friend and I found my first egg on Roosevelt and Carlsbad Villiage Dr. This egg was painting with a peace sign and a heart (Nina took this one so I’m not sure what # it was). Then I found the other egg outside of vinaka later that day. It was fun looking all over town on my bike. I was hoping to find one in tree but no luck.

CLUE UPDATE: Along with jugglers and photo snapping tourist, a deep-sea egg marvels at another Carlsbad sunset.

Its true. An egg that was once taken has reemerged only yards form its original location. Shockingly, its decoration hasn’t “lured” anyone in yet…its a good one!
